Q: Where are you located, and will you come to my home?

A: Our training studio is located at 405 N. 24th St. (downtown).  We train clients in the studio as well as in their homes.  Prices for In-home training are higher due to the rising cost of fuel and the extra time that it takes to travel from one client to another.  For a list of services and prices... click here.

Q: Do I have to have equipment  at home to train with APEX?

A: No.  We have equipment that we will bring to your home.  If you do have exercise equipment at home, we will utilize it in your workouts,  but it is not a requirement.

Q: What is the Fitness Assessment, and do I have to do it?

A: The fitness assessment is the intial evaluation of your fitness level.  It is not an exercise prescription session.  In order to design a safe and appropriate exercise program, we need to know where to start.   We measure your blood pressure, heart rate, body composition, flexibility, strength, and aerobic capacity.  The Fitness Assessment is is also crucial in determining your goals and making sure that those goals are specific and measureable.  The results of the fitness assessment will be compared to a re-assessment at a later date to determine the degree of success of your training program. So, yes, you have to complete the Fitness Assessment to train with APEX.    The only way to know if you've improved is to know where you started.

Q: How often should I workout with an APEX Personal Trainer?

A:  This is a very commonly asked question, and the answer is purely individual.  How often you train will depend on your goals as well as your time constraints due to work and family life.  Based on your budget, goals, availability, and the results of your Fitness Assessment, your trainer will recommend anywhere from 1-6 sessions per week.  Depending on the client, the trainer may recommend either one-on-one sessions or a 12-week all-inclusive training package.

If you are very self-motivated, but just aren't sure what you should be doing, we also offer Program Design Packages.  These packages are designed to provide you with the tools you need to get amazing results on your own.  All you have to do is follow the program.

Q:  Do you help with meal plans and diets?

A: Yes.  We don't promote "diets" per say.  What we do promote is nutritional lifestyle change.  We utilize the Firstline Therapy Program to teach you to how to make healthy choices when it comes to nutrition. Our experienced consultants can help you with planning and preparing healthy meals, grocery shopping, label reading, healthy recipe ideas, meal replacements, and choosing quality nutritional supplements
