Thank you for the support
We had a great time at this years MS Bike.  A bit wet and sometimes cold but fun the entire time.  Our team of Wayne, Becky, Sharon, Yves, Beth, Renee and myself raised $2370.00 out of the $168,000 raised in the entire event.  Good job to everyone else who raised money.

It was an interesting day starting in the rain with everyone bundled up and ready for the worst.  But not too long after we started it stopped raining and was pretty nice for most of the day, a bit cloudy and the odd shower but not much wind which is always nice on the bike.  Renee and I stayed together the entire ride and met some really nice people along the way.  The rest of the team rode in small groups or alone most of the day.

The first 30 miles flew by for Renee and I.  We hooked up with another group of riders and shared some of the leading  until we hit the first rest stop.  At that point the group broke apart and Renee and I rode together until the next stop which was around 14 miles down the road.  That's where things started to get interesting for Renee and I because that is where Renee got her first flat.  After finishing up lunch we changed Renee's front tire and headed on our way.  We hooked up with Yves and Beth for the first mile or so then Renee got another flat but on her back tire this time.  We were lucky enough to have someone stop and let us use there CO2 cartridge to inflate the new tube.  On our way again and starting to get close to our finish in Red Lodge and guess what? Renee gets another flat.  Now we are out of tubes and are only a couple of miles to Red Lodge so we just start to walk but another nice rider stopped and this time gives us a tube and the CO2 to inflate the tire.  We started to get a little chilly after this stop because it had started to rain again and having all those stops didn't allow us to really get warm.  The last couple of miles we really picked up our pace to get our bodies a little warmer which felt good.

Once we reached Red Lodge and went to our hotel for a hot shower we felt fantastic and really hungry!!  So as soon as we could we all headed up the ski lodge to get some food and socialize with all the other riders.  Dinner was great, BBQ chicken, hot soup, salad and great deserts.  I'm not sure if I replaced all the calories spent on the ride but I really tried.

All in all a good day with good food.  Can't wait until next year.  I hope we get some warmer weather.
